ANC president to be out of court's way: because of "illegal" tap on former RSA president?
(Altered? As possibly guessed by some: Altered Persuasion, is where we ask controversial questions, and write articles, which may be controversial, or opinion, or satire, or sarcasm, and may have no real, or even apparent or Prima Facie result, or Prima Facie unintentional intent, except to question.
Persuasion: do I have to define it? Being Editor means I don't, unless my audience demands it: tough decision, really: ok, I won't define it: just out of pure boredom, and, aren't definitions so controversial: does life begin when it begins, or when the poor little thing has first breathed?)
(as is obligatory for an Editor:)

"Zuma" (a.k.a. get me my "shower" to avoid "the HIV", and "women in short dresses": they want my Zulu manliness: even if they are an infected AIDS activist (now in exile, fearing for her life)) , "Jacob" (Machine gun song) "Zuma": has done everything to avoid having his corruption, tax-evasion etc trial from going to court: after originally asking for his "day in court": it seems, that not every politician gets "their day": ...in court: according to fascinating daily and weekly newspapers that is:
So, while we are talking about "Zuma"'s 8 (That's eight but maybe more or less: it's such a constant, we forget sometimes) years suspended by "something" from going to "court" (really ... someone "should" (but likely won't) be sued for wasting taxpayer's time): now, he seems to have gotten a more failsafe solution, if newspaper reports are to be believed: apparently ("Sunday Independent": of the IOL group: says it is likely) the "National Prosecuting Authority" ("NPA") is about to drop charges again who they call "Mr. Zuma": based on seemingly allegedly illegally gathered evidence of a "political" conspiracy against the alleged (according to previous allegations made by said alleged "NPA") "corruptioneer", and tax shaking dance man: if they are to have been believed previously.
I always knew the "ANC" liked "abortions": who knew it extended to days in court!
Over 700 charges are expected to be dropped from the docket: allegedly according to mainstream journalism: because a former "Scorpion's" (Disbanded (during "Zuma/Selebi Fiasco") "RSA" version of he "FBI") boss told the (now gotten rid of, or is it taken care of, but he still is alive) president he was loyal to the presidency? and because someone was allegedly "illegally" monitoring "presidential communications" at this time: so that these allegedly illegal "intelligence" tapes: have landed squarely with "Mr Shower to get rid of HIV. J. Zuma"'s Lawyers' desks. Last time I looked: illegally gathered information is "inadmissible" in court: if the "NPA" really has a "Prima Facie" case against "Comrade" (The "Showering" "away" "the HIV", "machine gun" wielding: or at least-ing-ly singing about that: sing and dance showman) "Zuma": then a couple of tapes resembling "blackmail" shouldn't do much to change their decision. They are, after all, if "illegally" gathered: as the "Sunday Independent" ("The Thinking Man's [Sunday Read]": and better than "that" (to quote what's "that": previous American President: Clinton?) "Sunday Times": which I myself may delay a trial over, if I were to read it: to prevent people knowing I had read it?): not worth much in court, if illegally gathered: that is.
As the plot thickens, and I laugh un-gaily (For once the illiterate section of is he Catholic group will be right: even though that is an old english word: meaning happily: the bigger cue is the name of this service: "South African Catholic"), in a sarcastic smile about "South Africa"'s "Ruling" "ANC"'s: (in the) "Mail and Guardian": alleged "funding" from the "Chinese" "Communist Party" (can't be too careful:
with quotation marks)
(Or with formatting and Grammar):
Meanwhile: the "choice" to bar the "Dalai Lama" (Who just for "that" government official: who allegedly asked "who is the Dalai Lama anyway" (paraphrase): is not a Llama: but the leader ("allegedly" in "Exile") of what used to be called "TIBET": but which Google Maps calmly responds: and calls: "Xizang, China" , even If I say it in CAPITAL letters in an angry internet voice to it(Sad face!)) from getting a Visa to "South Africa": in case, what: he chooses to mention the fact he is allegedly "exiled" from his "home" "country": where article 2 section d genocide is possibly, maybe just being committed against his people, among other human rights abuses: really: these "pacifists when occupied by Chinese human rights reports mentioned: gaily viewing Chinese": are a huge "threat" to our balance sheet aren't they? Except when we see how many textile and other workers have lost everything in exchange for "fair" "trade" with China: whom the "Mail And Guardian" says are allegedly funding the "ANC" ("African National Congress") election campaign: along with "Libya" et al.
As to the ANC's new reported hopefully really really please be fractional section of Afrikaaner supporters: that: to "Showerman's possible (if he minds it at all) Dismay" will probably call it the "Aaaahhhhh, Een, Seer"(: the point of which: is that such sounds quite contented), but their sighs of contentment (disliked by other Afrikaaners, who support the DA, COPE, or the FF+ et al: and who amazingly also either pronounce the letters ANC in Afrikaans, or in English): under "Jacob" "Shower-man" "Zuma"'s rule during a recession: may be disturbed by the fact that the man never got his Senior Certificate from school?!
Question: if the "ANC" did receive "arms deal" money, which could have gone into an "Alms Deal": does that make them an "illegitimate government" (to quote us on "Madagascar"'s new "president": who admittedly are a "government" created via what "South Africa", or some nation somewhere calls an "unconstitutional" "coop") these past few years: for what would be use of state power to aid their election wants, and question 2, do "Oilgate" and "Travelgate" and the new and improved "Zumagate", and "Shaik-gate" and now allegedly "Mbekigate": influence the legitimacy of the "Republic" part of a "South African" state: and Question 3: can't mainstream journalists come up with a name for an alleged scandal: not involving the word "Gate": or do they just reminiscent of "Watergate": and hope for the same, or is it "just to sell newspapers", or maybe it is "easier that way"?
Speaking of which: what happened to having a "Constitution", on their side: is largely unknown to SUM$ of the politically less connected "South Africans": it seems to some commentators: that "political connections", and "intelligence" on the prosecutors, prosecuting you, and if possible the president of the "republic" at "that" time: are what "rule" "South Africa". One need only view "Travel Gate" (no reference to airport "gates"), or the "arms deal" (I know, no Capitals, bad me for that spelling, I mean grammar: "Error"?: but we could have spared allot of SA capital there: and no: it isn't the "Alms Deal": that is what many of the people wanted then though) to be a little scared. As to religious rights: wouldn't someone object if the "Pope" were denied entry into South Africa: I am sure that the "Dalai Lama" fiasco (No, he isn't a Llama, for those more of note people, who may think so (actually explained that one the other day: sort of, I think?): and as a person: shouldn't he have rights under our "Constitution?") is something to do with religious rights, or maybe it is just the "religious right" who think that: and isn't buying "Chinese" "child"-labour produced products, and making them (or Chinese clothing) almost the only option for us poor consumers to buy against the section 28 c of the "constitution" part of our "Constitution": you know: involving "Child Labour"?
As to "that" evidence "that" "that" "Dalai Lama" may mention that he is "allegedly" in "exile" from "Tibet" ("which" Google" maps" doesn't believe is a place (When I entered "Narinia": it took me to Narni TR, Italy: when I entered "Middle Earth": it took me to: "Middle Earth, Solomons, MD, USA", and not to "New Zealand" ): mind you, "Google" "likes" their "Chinese" "market"): the now "alleged" (by me) "question" is: "is the alleged intelligence: from that 'Chinese' 'based' 'computer' 'spying' 'network'": which "compromised" 'Dalai Lama' (is it wrong that a really special: Google's spell-check which I really do use: lets me write "Dalai Llama", or that it thinks Dalai is a spelling mistake? ) 'Centers' throughout the 'world'?
On a lighter note: our 'Chinese' made clothes, are quite comfortable: and the bloodstains of possible child labour, and the fired "R"SA textile industry: and those (really did try to use "That") foreign based human rights abuses: oh well: child labour doesn't show up as much: that is: when everyone's possibly wearing it:
As they say: "Africa isn't for" (word omitted): and it's true: it's for corruptionaires and '"gaters": after all: we need to have something better than crocodiles when we don't have alligators...
If there were a scandal involving "Bill Gates": would the Press call it "Gate-Gate"?
Pax, and Caelum Tecum: but not too soon; I still want you to read my fascinating satirical editorials!
"Rest in Peace", and wake up refreshed.

Editor of "South African Catholic": hoping not to get too many complaint letters about my article: which is surprisingly not "PC", even though I wrote it on a "PC". Speaking of which, I think that like today: I often get the Blue Screen of Death when covering certain, um, issues: am I infected with that network: "Ghostnet", was it?
Maybe those were those infections my software discovered this morning ...?
If I don't have a "web-cam": can they use my non-existent "web-cam" on me: and if I do: can they choose not to?
Yes, I am in one of those moods: and the best cure would be for the NPA not to drop those all important charges!
RIP what was possibly once the "reputation" "of" "Human Rights" "Famous" "South Africa": I have dearly loved you so (or was it Lint Chocolate, I love?)?, oops I mean Pax tecum my hopefully (please please be): loyal audience: apparently "South Africa" "lost" it's "Human Rights" "reputation" "long" "ago": and I thin' the "United Nations"' "Security Council" had something to do with it?!
God bless,

Brazil's anti-magisterial "workers party" strikes again, but Vatican sticks by their man! In Abortion Row!
Article by Marc Aupiais
Canon law is clear, whatever human laws say: help a girl (or in these pressing times, a guy) get an abortion, and you are outta the Catholic church. You are banned from all sacraments, until you get a special absolution, in which you must have confessed your sin, of partaking in abortion. This excommunication extends to those who vote for abortionistic parties, which causes extra abortions.
The News broke, a girl, whose stepfather is accused of abusing her consistently from age six to 9, and of abusing her 14 year old challenged sister, and was arrested on charges of rape: was persuaded by her mother into killing her twin daughters, before they could escape the womb, and Brazil's law, which gives the unborn no real rights.
The Catholic bishop of the area: "Brazilian Archbishop Jose Gomes Sobrinho ", was furious, and excommunicated the doctors who did the abortion, and justified it, and the mother. Brazil's Worker's Party, known for their positions on contraception, women priests, and homosexuality: then used the Vatican's protection of the unborn, to once again lambast the church.
The fact, that the mother and doctors involved in what the church termed to be homocide, against her grandchildren: were already automatically excommunicated, via canon law, has passed by many media works.
"Fatima Maia", who is director of the hospital who killed the twin fetuses, who had been conceived after years of abuse, by a 9 year old's 23 year old stepdad, with seemingly no intervention on the part of the girl's mother: tried to justify her hospital's work. She said that it was dangerous for a 9 year old to give birth.
"Marcio Miranda", who is a lawyer, and represented the church in a media release, stated that there was no risk to the 9 year old, and that a perfectly safe alternative to abortion, would be a Caesarian Section.
People often forget, that if one is permitting a woman to abort her baby, due to rape: that this is a complete denial that the child is a human person. In fact, in South African law: the fact that the Fetus is not considered a person, is precisely why many claim a right to abortion. Before it takes its first breath in South African law, it is considered just that, an it. This Brazillian decision, seems to work on the same principal: that the child has no right to choose to live.
President "Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva", of Brazil, and belonging to its infamous "Workers Party", slung mud, calling the Church "Conservative", saying that they did what he termed "necessary" and "saved" a nine year old's life. He is no stranger to completely ignoring canon law, and himself likely falls under the same automatic excommunication, as the mother and doctors do.
Recently, a congressman of his "Workers Party" party: a certain "Father Luiz Couto", called for the church to stop "unfair discrimination against homosexuals" (paraphrase), and said that condoms are "necessary", while also calling for the church to allow priests to have sex. Father Luiz Couto: was thus suspended from saying the mass, by his archbishop: "Aldo Pagotto", of Paraiba. "Father Luiz Couto", had already broken canon law, in being elected for the "Workers Party". The COngressman, said he would continue to say the mass at his house, with assorted friends.
Despite a large demographically "Catholic" population, Brazil, allows for abortion when a woman is raped, or when her health is badly in danger.
From past experience, Brazillian President, "Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva", calling himnself a "Catholic", for some odd reason: and his party, loves the word "necessary", when slamming the policies of the church. It is not surprising, that he has slammed the church's decision to appose the forcing of an abortion on a nine year old. Brazil's left leaning president, has neither seemingly said much of any alleged neglegence on behalf of the girl's mother, who additionally made her get the abortion, nor has he seemed to mention the two twins, who are now dead, due to his policy, which allowed the uunborn twins to be murdered, in a hospital.
The Vatican's "Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re", who is "Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops", and "Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops", according to "Catholic Hierarchy", has said that life should always been protected, and has named the attack on the Brazillian Bishop, who stood by Catholic beliefs, and regulations: to be unwarranted.
In Many parts of the world, Bishops, have ignored canon law on issues such as abortion, or moves to create anger towards the Vatican. The stancew this bishop has taken, and which his Vatican support have taken: is admirable to any true pro-lifer.
That abortion, itself is a surgery, where generally, the children, are either buirnt into non-existence, or torn apart, limb by limb, seems far from the minds of many a government. As long as the anborn is not known as a person, this will likely remain.
Please note, that the definition of murder, here mentioned: refers to the intentional killing of a unique human life.

Priests in South Africa in schism?
Article by Marc Aupiais
As possibly guessed by some: Altered Persuasion, is where we ask controversial questions, and write articles, which may be controversial, and may have no result, except to question.
We were alerted to a program, airing on SABC (Government Broadcaster) 2 recently (Feb 1st bout 9 o'clock): by the Bishops Conference in charge of Southern Africa: "The Southern African Catholic Bishops' Conference" (SACBC). The Program in question was: "ISSUES OF FAITH: Catholic Priesthood to be repeated on SABC 2, 09:00 on 1st February 2009.
"
(mentioned in: South African Catholic: archive: 1/20/2009)
The Program was by "Patrica Proctor.
"
(mentioned in: South African Catholic: archive: 1/20/2009)
The program was produced by a woman: claimed by a source of ours to have in former times have been connected with the church in a religious order, we have not verified this. The program: looks at the Catholic priesthood, and interviews local priests.
Any actions which encourage such an ordination: also would incur such: by the nature of such excommunication: if without such: an ordination were not to take place. More than such: asserting the possibility of Women Priests: itself: could incur fears of an automatic excommunication (Canon 1364 excommunicates intentional heretics, schismatics):therefore the airing of a program, wherein many priests in South Africa believe in the needs for women priests: a sentiment, which other parishioners at the parish I attend affirm: that our new priest shares: whereby the question is to be asked: are all these priests excommunicated: and therefore in the same boat as the SSPX entered into in 1988?
Further: why has no action been taken against those guilty of inciting disobedience against the Holy See, and why is it that a work this service sent into the Archdiocese of Johannesburg, for imprimatur: wasn't either accepted or rejected, simply entirely ignored? Why also: are accusations of heresy by authority figures, not dealt with?
Often, this (, the one above: not our further argument/question) argument is used by my sources in SSPX, they say that the local South African church, or large sections of it: is/are in schism, and that often the mass is invalidated by local priests, who they claim often change formulae: they say that they are in the same situation as local Catholics: therefore: they choose the "better" option: of more "orthodox" priests, and more "Valid" masses. Of course, they believe the SSPX is on a mission sent by "God", and that normal Catholics are in the wrong.
Now, the problem with attending SSPX masses, according to the Vatican: lies not in the suspended status of their priests, but in the personal statement, and the state of the personal soul in attending. Often attendance of SSPX church: leads parishioners to enter material heresy, by denying Vatican II for instance. Except in confession, marriage etc: where they have no authority to perform these sacraments: whereby in attending: one is only strongly discouraged in a very strong sense: from attending: in the cases of holy Orders, marriage, confession, and possibly other cases: those involved in procuring such from the SSPX: are doing something canonically illicit: even perhaps invalid: in the case of marriages.
The local church, or to be more accurate: sections of it, because the argument calling it all priests is absurd: while possibly partly materially schismatic, or herectical: is not formally declared such: further: Archbishop Buthi of Johannesburg, is formally against Women priests: and the interviews were obviously not shown in full. The Southern African Bishops: also: do not seem to be propagating such a view as a conference, perhaps: they may play a part in promoting disobedience in Shareholdership in the Southern Cross, and selling such things in parishes, and promoting such service, but it would be charitably acceptable, and I hope those reading will accept: while possibly complicit: their actions do not not directly en masse seem to promote with their own statements: any sort of disobedience: even as a paper partly controlled by them has been cited for promoting disobedience against the Holy See.
Unlike myself: the SABC (Government Station), does not seem to produce full text of what people say: or necessarily seem to give context. The situation is furthered, by possible negligence on the part of the Priests: they may well have been taught heresy in seminary. There is certainly a marked difference between recently trained South African Priests, and foreign trained priests: the Local Priests, seem hardly as capable of doing the most basic jobs: as though inadequately trained in their work, something not mimicked by older, experienced, and professional priests, trained at an earlier stage of our development.
Opus Dei, also: certainly is not in Schism, therefore: even if the diocese, or conference were to en masse enter Schism, the Opus Dei would not be affected, they are not under the authority of local bishops.
Thereby: while disconcerting that so many in the local church have not only publically promoted heresy, and disobedience against the Roman Pontiff, but have also created animosity towards the Vatican: such seems to be a culture: whereby many may believe they are obeying what they think is the Catholic religion, when actualy obeying principles of a sort of "Secular Humanist", "counter-society".
The argument of those in SSPX therefore has weight, but not enough to be a calculated or correct decision. SSPX is a group formally associated with Schism, or at least suspension: attending a mismanaged, or politically motivated mainstream parish, on the other hand, while unwise if there is a better mainstream parish in the Area: is not generally: a statement of schism, except in certain cases, where one may be attending some parishes, such as Saint Mary's in Australia, or in recent cases possibly locally: one may be making a statement of Heresy and Schism.
The best thing to do: keep attending a parish at which: you are comfortable: but if you know your priest is publicly apposing the Vatican, or know him to be in heresy: then it may be best to mfind another parish, also to not to confess to him, but another priest: both due to his possible suspension, and due to the likely poor advice you will receive. Further: you are putting yourself in his power, and telling him secrets: rather find a more Orthodox priest to do this with: he may have as little respect for the excommunication associated with sharing your sins with the general public, sometimes possibly in danger of them announcing this at mass: as he does for that ex communication: associated with public heresy. Also: rather marry, and attend church and register: where the priest is one who you can trust is orthodox. As to normal mass: if ordained validly: local priests do perform the sacrifice of the mass, if they say certain wrods right, and over the right species. For now, we must simply wait, hope and see.
It is still better to belong to the mainstream: and if possible, attend mass at your local Cathedral: if your bishop is Orthodox, as they often are: or at Opus Dei: which is known for fidelity.
There are many issues in South Africa: but most seem to come from an inherent heterodoxy, which is likely the culprit, the core and real reason: that nine out of ten Johannesburg Catholics reportedly skip mass.
Ultimately: one needs to remain loyal to the papacy, and within the structural church. It is our boat: if there are holes: we must help to plug them up, even if the captain is making them, at our local parish. The way forward lies in our own actions, what we say and do: and how we approach the situation. If many letters were sent to the bishops, and much more were done: if loyal Catholic media were promoted, and if one forfeited their weekly Heterodox "Southern Cross": at the parish level:
...perhaps then: something could happen.

SSPX sidelines Holocaust Deniers
Article by Marc Aupiais
Rorate Caeli: one of the most efficient sources on the SSPX schismatic / suspended movement: is reporting firm actions by the society against an SSPX/FSSPX Bishop, who denied the extent of the holocaust. Bishop Williamson, having been illicitly ordained as a bishop, a man who along with his companions in the "Society of st. Pius X", is still suspended under canon law: has been removed from his noted post of director: at an SSPX seminary: "La Reja"; something which was apparently done for the "Good" (extrapolation by us: "not want to hurt the society", would be a better translation) of the society, an action reportedly accepted by Williamson as necessary. Meanwhile, a Zenit Report, in Italian: on Sunday: covered the expulsion of a: Father Don Floriano Abrahamowicz, from the society.
While Zenit sees this (the expulsion of a: Father Don Floriano Abrahamowicz, from the society) to possibly be linked to other events: as a rebuke of his shared views: with Williamson on the Holocaust: not killing 6 million Jews: at least one source within SSPX parishioners' ranks: is claiming: that the man in question was expelled: not for his view on the Jews and concentration camps, but alleges that he was expelled for a separate matter involving suspicions of the man: involving sedevacanism. Sedevacanism, the view that the See of Peter (Papacy) is "vacant": is denounced by mainstream catholicism: and is something that the SSPX, not only does not officially believe: but rather: officially apposes, as wrong.
The SSPX claimed that the second decision: while "painful" (possible English translation): was necessary to prevent the image of the SSPX, from being "distorted" (another possible translation).
Meanwhile: the Vatican and the German Chancellor: Angela Merkel, a member of the "Christian Democratic Union" (CDU) Party: which traditionally was lead by Catholics, and, in contrast to that previous norm: Protestant in her system of belief: have (The Vatican and German Chancellor) reportedly had a cordial telephone conversation. Allegations against Benedict XVI's name: by the German Chancellor: Angela Merkel; that he had not strongly enough rebuked Bishop Williamson: were followed by a Vatican statement: that Bishop Williamson would not have his current suspension of powers: lifted unless he publicly altered his views on the Holocaust. The conversation reportedly involved mutual discussion on the importants of seeing the Holocaust as a warning. Both apparently hold the same view of the Holocaust. The Vatican's press office: has reportedly noted that benedict XVI: allegedly had no knowledge of the statements of SSPX Bishop Williamson: at the time he lifted the man's excommunication: in order to pass an impasse in negotiations with the "Society" (SSPX).

Reunification of Russia's East and Vatican's West: still a distant light, maybe not even a dusk
Article by Marc Aupiais
Despite media reports in the likes of EuroNews: that Russia's new Patriarch, will likely reunify Rome and Moscow, Reuters quotes a top Vatican Source saying otherwise. (With the bearded, scary and conservative look of the Patriarch; it did not seem on the surface: that he would be anything but loyal to his cause.)
Cardinal Walter Kaspar, Having met Russian Orthodox leader: Kirill: informed Reuters of his skepticism.
""What he said in the last weeks and what he told me today, it's the same line," Kasper, who is head of the Vatican office on Christian unity and Jewish relations, said in an interview. "So I do not see any change in his attitude.""
(Reuters (Secular; British; Independent) 02 / Feb / 2009)
Benedict XVI: has reportedly used Kaspar to deliver a congratulatory letter: to his Russian counterpart, and possibly adversary. The two churches, had split nearly a thousand years ago: and remained split; after some hopes earlier of reunification (the Russian church, itself has split from others since, nor is this to say that it was the Russian church that was split with).
So far, mutual concerns were discussed: social issues, global issues: such as ethics: something hot on every intelligent leader's mind: after the global meltdown of many markets: something Benedict XVI predicted decades ago: of a market with less regulation.
As to communication: morality has always been an issue for the churches to look into. Kirill will have to navigate away from Kremlin influence, if he wants the world to see his church as independent from his motherland. If Kirill were to choose to criticize Moscow on human rights, or democracy, or other such issues: it would be very hard to do: Moscow has propped up the Russian church since the Atheistic Communists were defeated by time and dust.
Navigating between Rome and Moscow: global, political East and West: will be a hard place to be: truly between a Rock ("You are Peter (Rock) and On this rock"), and a hard place (with all that ice).
Benedict XVI: is a master at relations between Christian churches: and has achieved much with the Islamic religion also: his lack of success with some Jewish sources: may lay in the difference between relations with every other group, than with the Jewish religious. Jewish "Ecumenism", seems mostly focussed at getting people to be friendly to Jews, and attempting to make public statements nice towards them: in a sort of new Holocaust fear the group seems to have. With other groups: such as Islam: sticking to one's religious needs, or the "saving" of souls: is seen as more acceptable; even if with some level of statements. The Jewish Ecumenism:: seems to aim purely at uplifting the Jewish people, in their constant statements, this seems the case.
In either case: the rift between east and west is deep: but Kirill will need Vatican Backing if he wants to gain any real, and visible autonomy from the Kremlin. The Vatican would be as interested in gaining better relations with the Russian church: as they are at reunifying the SSPX to their belt: even as the SSPX, is still technically operating without license, and therefore also still has the same status: as what a Vatican Document noted to be a "Schism".
The Russian Orthodox Church, falls into the same category, as such in many ways, though is perhaps more distant in the eyes of Canon Law: SSPX may be considered to be Schismatic: but is certainly viewed as much more Catholic than the East: in fact, most would call it a Catholic Schism, while the Eastern Churches would simply be independent schisms.
Either way: while the words seem to be the same: expected, for a leader of a church which is highly conservative, as compare the international claims in news services about its leader: there is always a small hope that the Russian church will join other Eastern Orthodox groupings: in meetings with Rome: and that finally: some true gains can again be made between the two great so-called "lungs" of religion.
The Eastern churches acknowledge that the Vatican: as the successor of Peter: has a special place: but they do not in general accept Papal infallibility: but in general believe in listening to what the pope has to say. Churches are important in politics: protecting human rights, and preventing genocide: has caused nations to crumble and fall. A more westernized Russian Orthodox Church: could certainly have ramifications for the possibility to Russian democracy.

The drowning, swirling Catholic Church, the electric waves: and our salvation to self and world
Article by Marc Aupiais
The statistics are clear beyond normal persuasion, beyond the prism of changing thought and hope. The church is dying, declining, as the void fights to bring it out of time, and out of life.
The electric energy, it strikes the ailing fish, the sea monster that is the holy church, and yet, this energy strikes less, and the church: she breaks under pressure, and splashes, as a whirlwind takes up, and moves the water itself, in a drowning motion.
Until the middle of last century, until we misinterpreted the Second Vatican Council: and we denied our heritage, and told the nuns to take off their wedding rings, their habits: and wrongly encouraged priests to be entertainers, and incorrectly decided to allow those who believe things which are not true: to teach our children this: until then: the church consistently grew.
Yet: rather than an injection of life into the church, the Second Vatican Council: seems almost to lead to a decline.
Rather than the council: which we accept, as true and good: we must look, as the Papacy does: at the truth: the true problem. Before: we were defined, and our clergy, they understood: we had clear rules, and were specific. Now, we are lucky if a child does not learn an entirely distorted view of bible, and Catechism in Catholic schools, confirmation and church: we are entirely blessed: if they are taught the Gospel of the church, and not some distorted personal perspective.
Vatican II, brought about the thinking church: we were to think and understand: yet with it: the fortress church found itself being dismantled: bit by but: not by the council: but in the fault of those who chose to encourage a change which has been destroying the church since.
Rather than inebriating society, and pushing and pulling it with her festivals, like the tides of the ocean with the moon: many within the church: sought to bring her into the "modern age": as though she had not created it in the first.
The Bishops were seen by laity: as obstacles to a new gospel: the beginnings of the selfishness of a secularism: which was cold and pluralist. The people, based their views on things they thought they deserved: rather than on the dignity by which they deserved anything. In this: they did away with the idea of pursuing truth: for the idea of calm: and for the throws of emotion, and entitlement. If another was denied what they wanted: at least, among my own: then: surely: I am in danger.
Thereby: those who felt strongly about this, or sport, or about themselves: were seen as good:
those who felt strongly that there is absolute truth, and absolute dignity, and that truth could be proven: and could be felt in the intuition, and that this truth demanded unity and structure, and respect, and yet harshness, and a lack of cruel kindness: for honesty: those who relied on a skepticism that they could be right in their hopes, in a dry hope in reality: those who knew they were entitled to nothing, but had to respect that dignity in all life: these were sidelined.
The decline of the church, of our world: it cannot be held back by one man: yet, as this is said: the salvation of the church: is held back by millions: by those thinking that to save the world, we must become more like it, must abandon our culture: even knowing the effect on natives throughout the world: who do so, even knowing that our loss of identity, has let us lose our support, and our hope: for the sake of a confused society, where infants are murdered, and politicians are evil: because we continue to allow these to be voted for: because we value non-confrontation more than we value our fellow man.
The decline of the church can be firmly stopped.
It is not because of Vatican II, but because of the lack of good men in the priesthood, because of those who teach in seminaries, and those who sponge off the church. It is because we judge the church by the values of the world: rather than the world by the values of the church: as though we were the world, and not the church: as though we were their culture: not our own.
Here is the danger of "Inculturation": so far as it goes beyond normal signs: and decides to change the form of worship, and the ethics of the church.
Our first master should be God, and then the ethics of the conscience: which are emphasized, which are refined by the church, and which echo against her and only strengthen in her. Only by cleansing the soul in confession, in truly showing with all the body: that we respect and worship: in church: in refusing to laugh at the jokes of the priest: in refusing to clap, or hold hands during the our Father: in refusing to speak like the world: and refusing to reward our fellows when they do.
Religion, which is definite, and stands firmly outside of culture, yet befriends those within culture, yet co-operates with others, and works together with other religions, yet works for the good of all, and for that which is best for truth: this religion is Godly. Let us put away the values of the decline: let us begin to judge: to discern; let us see those headed for the fire, and tell them that what they are doing is dangerous: and avoid those who would lead us astray: let us reject the pop icon, and the fornicator: who does not accept the demand to respect the yet to be born, and reject those who tempt us into sin, via television: and those programs which treat sins and temptation as a treat.
To truly bring the church around: we must truly become ethical in daily life: we can no longer be as prejudiced, and yet: must hold onto those prejudices which are right.
We must pray every night: that we may be the tool of God, and for our patron Saint to rule our life: we must hear that intuitive sense in daily life, and not turn off to it, as it asks us to do strange things: like speak, or be silent, like listen: like be human. Intuition is innate, and we are given it, so as to better navigate the rapids of life. We should therefore strengthen it, by hearing it's small shove, and push.
Our hope lies not in pluralism, but in ethics, not in this or that form of worship: but in service and selflessness in worship. Those who are in religious orders: should not discard their habit, or other clear signs of vocation, just as the married must not discard their rings: yet: more than that: a general "spirit" of things cannot save our souls...
We must be specific in the gospel we preach: we must learn the exact concepts, so we can tell others also: we must walk the path, and describe it: but let us have no more of Adam eating an Adam, or of Pharaoh not letting the people of Israel leave: and more of Adam and Eve eating a fruit: and Moses being denied the right to worship God for three days in the desert: leading to God causing the Israelites to leave Egypt.
We must learn Lumen Gentium XVI: that other religions cannot save: but that religion itself can: that the virtue of seeking the truth of God saves: and that we are entered into God here, as Catholics, as Christians in the Trinominal (Father Son and Holy Ghost mentioned) rite of Water Baptism: and that those who do not find the oasis here, but who keep seeking 'til death and beyond: that we who constantly seek the truth about God, and try to better ourselves always: constantly confessing and relying on the Eucharist, our sustaining meal: that we and them: by the same standard are judged: by religion. By the seeking of truth, and our efforts in actions, thoughts, words and trust: to try and conform ourselves to the true spiritual reality: to the truth: and that which is noble: rather than to that which simply pleases the survival instincts, and the need to gain more quality in survival.
How does one turn around the decline? Benedict has already started: by reintroducing the ancient liturgy, by changing the words we hear at church. We are not simply to enter society, but to change it: with our message of the value of Life: That God is life: that which animates us via our souls.
And by preaching the true gospel, we must also seek, even the means of might: to do what is ethical, rational and just: and we must be guided by our ethics, and the need to spread the True Gospel of Christ: the good news of freedom from slavery to sinful initiative.
